The Firs Course at Horsham Golf
The Firs Course is ideal for youngsters, families, those new to golf, as well as seasoned players looking to sharpen up their short game.
Our nine hole Firs Course is spread across part of the original nine hole course layout. Enjoy undulating terrains and interesting, beautifully-maintained par 3s, whether you are a beginner, keen for a practice round or are simply short of time. With holes ranging from 60 to 154 yards, the Firs is a great place for regular golfers to sharpen up their skills and a relaxed venue for families and new golfers of all ages to gain confidence while learning to play the game.
A significant amount of earth remodeling has resulted in a course featuring lots of contours, significant elevation changes and sloping greens, thus placing demands on precise shot making. The newly contoured areas ensure excellent natural drainage, while the greens have been constructed to USGA specifications to enable year-round playability and provide any standard of golfer with an exciting test.
Horsham Golf offers many ‘Get Into Golf’ activities, including junior and beginner golf lessons, for which the Firs Course provides the perfect venue to help us grow the game. The course runs alongside a new short game practice area, featuring two new USGA specification greens and a practice bunker.
The Firs course is home to the annual ‘Fairways to Horsham’ primary school golf competition which is run by MY Golf Academy.
